But that doesn’t detract from the earlier positive movements. It would be as reductive to characterize new atheism as “white guys crapping on muslims” as it would be to characterize second wave feminism as “just a bunch of bored middle class white women”. Yes, there is a grain of truth to that, but its only in the hindsight of the world that created, that we can even be in a position to make that argument. Same for new atheism, its only because now we dwell in a borderline post christian America, that we can say that.

Imagine some alternative universe where “Ch.uds” are like 80% of young male population and everyone else is apolitical except 1-2 isolated chomsky style libs that no one really pays attention to anyway. Travelling is a pastime invented by Whites. Non-whites (90% of them) have no concept of travel. We have no history of travel.So many people out there say they love traveling and will happily tell you about all the places they been to and sights they’ve seen and where they want to go to next. Fundamentally it's political. There was a lot going on in Cuba that made it possible for an insurgency to succeed that involved the politics of the country. It wasn't just the rebels inna Sierra Maestra but unrest with the urban population. It's too complex to get into and I don't even know a lot about it, but I believe there have been historians who have written books about all that. Che was a narcissistic and suicidal personality who couldn't deal with sitting around in boring meetings after they won, so he ran off to try to make revolution in Congo and Bolivia and it just didn't work at all, and then he was killed. He was going to end up like that one way or another. It's kind of a historical accident that he became this big hero because they won in Cuba, but in some slightly different circumstances he would've joined another one of these rebel groups in Latin America at the time, would've been killed and nobody would've ever known he existed.

It's interesting to read about left-wing groups in the U.S. in the late 60s who tried to cosplay as Che like the Weather Underground. Look up interviews with Mark Rudd talking about it. They really believed in what they were doing, but they misrecognized what happened, so Che succeeded in Cuba so therefore they should be like Che in the U.S., and it totally flopped and was self-destructive to their own movement. The only people they killed (although they did intend to kill soldiers at a barracks) were their own when they blew themselves up. They didn't even put two and two together, that Che was already dead when they began doing this, they were enthralled by his martyrdom and in love with themselves. They did have some success organizing students at Columbia University (somewhat like the encampments there recently), but they wanted to believe the people who showed up at these demonstrations they had organized would be future insurgents if they just got ball rolling. That was completely wrong.

There's a lot to like about America. I have to admit this is still one of the best countries in the world.

I think the natural environment is hard to beat in America. You can find a wide variety of stunning scenery and environments everywhere. Asia is very polluted and dirty. Even when you go to natural preserves around Asia there's a general feeling of neglect.

Customer service and goods. It's good to be a consumer in the U.S. because businesses generally make sure the consumer is satisfied. Plus there's a wide variety of products that can be purchased at a price much cheaper than the rest of the world. Apple products, quality furniture, cars, etc.. are all much cheaper in the U.S. Developing countries tack on outrageous import taxes to everything.

Real estate value. Some people may disagree with this but I still find U.S. real estate to be amongst the best values in the world. The subprime thing was due to scams in the financial sector but per sqf U.S. real estate is hard to beat. There are some markets where things are pretty overpriced but the amount of land and the quality of the houses you get is better than most countries in the world.

Social mobility. It's still pretty easy to map out a path to middle class if you're a poor immigrant who has some motivation and ability to learn. It's probably not better than let's say Sweden but it's pretty good when compared with the rest of the world.

How can socialists come to power

In order for socialism to be possible, it must have some degree of support from the majority of the population. This does not mean that it's necessary for most people to become committed socialists. That's impossible, because most people are always apolitical, in any system. The only thing that is necessary is to have a majority of people that are willing to give socialism a shot, or who are at least not opposed to socialism. This kind of majority opinion does exist today in many capitalist countries.

Broadly speaking, there are three strategies that socialists have used or proposed for gaining power:

A. Build a socialist political party, compete in regular elections, and win.

B. Build a political party or organization focused on winning support in the streets and operating outside the framework of the existing state. When there is a wave of discontent against the existing capitalist system, organize marches and protests. If you can gather enough support for your cause to ignite widespread protests around the country, lead your comrades to break into government buildings, arrest the current leaders, and take over the state.

C. Build a trade union-like organization and, once you have enough members, organize a general strike and take over the factories and other workplaces.

Strategies A and B have been used successfully at various points in the past. Strategy C has never worked in the past, perhaps because it requires the most active involvement and carries the greatest risk for the people involved. Notice that although strategy A requires the greatest number of people to sympathise with the socialist cause, the only thing they need to do is vote - and that's a very easy, risk-free one-time deal. Strategies B and C actually require smaller numbers of sympathisers, but those sympathisers need to be a lot more actively involved - and take more risks - than in strategy A.

Of course, it's possible for the same organization to try to pursue two or three different strategies at once, and see which one seems to work best at the moment. That's the approach I support.

However, gaining power is only half of the problem. The other half is what to do once you have power. Many different socialist groups have won power in many different countries in the past, but none of them have succeeded in creating a stable socialist economic system. There have been two types of failure (again, broadly speaking):

– Some socialist groups didn't actually fail; they never tried to build socialism in the first place. This is the sad history of social democracy. Social democrats - using strategy A - have been the most successful at gaining power. Between the 1920s and the 1960s, they either governed or exerted a major influence on every democratic country in the world. But once they found themselves in power, the social democrats adopted a policy of reformism: Making small left-wing reforms to the capitalist system in the hope that, after some time, these reforms added together would lead to socialism. That did not happen. In the Scandinavian countries, some social democratic parties have been in power almost without interruption for 60 years, and still they did not reach socialism. Instead of them changing the system, the system changed them. Instead of their countries becoming more socialist, the social democratic parties became more capitalist and eventually abandoned even the idea of socialism. Today, no social democratic parties advocate socialism any more, although a lot of them still use the word "socialist" in their names (it's left over from the time when they really advocated socialism).

– The other major branch of the socialist movement that succeeded in coming to power was Marxism-Leninism (or just "Leninism" for short). Leninists are not just socialists, but also communists (explaining the distinction would require a separate post), and they founded the Soviet Union. Their strategy for gaining power was revolution, not election, and, unlike the social democrats, they maintained their commitment to changing society after they found themselves in government. However, they put far too much emphasis on vanguardism and democratic centralism - the idea that a single political party (and one with a highly centralized structure) was uniquely capable of playing a "leading role" in society after the revolution and carry out the transition to socialism (and, later, communism). On the bright side, the Leninist approach did lead to the creation of a new kind of society, different from capitalism. Unfortunately, the new system was not socialism. The single party was too powerful and too centralized, and, alongside a number of historical circumstances, this led to the creation of an economic system that somewhat resembled socialism but lacked its democratic element. That was the Soviet system. Without democracy, the political leadership grew rigid and corrupt, and the planned economy was mismanaged because the planners could not accurately judge consumer satisfaction (if people are not allowed to complain in public, they cannot tell you when you've made a mistake, so you will persist in your mistakes). These factors, together with a heavy dose of stupidity in high places (*cough* Gorbachev *cough*) eventually brought down the Soviet system.

So, we know two different ways that WON'T lead to socialism: (1) trying to make small, gradual changes to capitalism, and (2) putting a single, powerful party with centralized leadership in charge of the whole period of transition. You can look at these two errors as two extremes. In the first case, the socialists are too weak-willed and too eager to compromise with capitalism; in the second case, they are too intolerant of opposition and too eager to silence dissent. What we need is something in between. A socialist party that will fight to gain power and make sweeping changes to society in a short period of time, like the Leninists did, while also being committed to a multi-party democracy and freedom of speech and criticism, like the social democrats were. Of the two groups, I think the Leninists were closer to the winning formula. In the years following the Russian Revolution, their Bolshevik Party was under great internal pressure, and a lot of efforts were made to keep it together. I think those efforts were misguided. If the party had been allowed to fracture and split, the Soviet Union may have ended up with a genuine multi-party democracy.


But you're probably also asking about more specific, concrete measures, not general statements about the need to combine a commitment to democracy with rapid changes. Assuming we have a socialist party that got into power one way or another, what should it actually do? How should it proceed?

Well, this subject is also hotly debated, but there is broad agreement that the absolute top priority will be to prevent capital flight. In our globalized economy, it is very easy for capitalists to move money from one place to another. As soon as a genuine socialist government takes power, the financial markets will descend into panic as capitalist firms start trying to sell their assets, take as much money as they can get, and run to another country. This would be a disaster for the economy. So the very first thing that a socialist government needs to do is close the stock market, suspend all banking activities, and freeze the assets of foreign firms. Basically, it will have to take very quick measures to ensure there is no massive flow of capital away from the country. Once that is done, if banks and foreign trade are frozen anyway, might as well go ahead and nationalize them. After all, you can't keep them frozen for very long; the economy needs them in order to function. So, in the first stage, the socialist government should nationalize the financial sector and establish a state monopoly on foreign trade. This might also be a good time to nationalize the local branches of multinational corporations, since the state monopoly on foreign trade will have cut them off from their parent companies anyway.

All of that needs to happen within weeks, or a couple of months at most. And then, what comes next?

Well, different socialists have completely different ideas on how to proceed after that, so I can only give you my own personal proposal, inspired by a book called Towards a New Socialism by Paul Cockshott and Allin Cottrell (you should read that if you're interested in how socialism would work, by the way - it's free to download).

After closing off the possible routes of capital flight, you can relax for a bit. The immediate danger has passed. The economy is still mostly capitalist, but the capitalists are no longer able to take their money and run. Some of them may choose to run anyway - I mean leave the country, physically - but that is actually a good thing. The government can pass a law to automatically nationalize the property of any capitalist who emigrates. This will allow for a string of simple, quiet nationalizations without much fuss or controversy.

By this point the country starts having a rather large state sector. It is time to establish institutions that will coordinate the activities of all those newly nationalized industries. Without such economic planning, you can only have state capitalism (a system where state-owned companies compete in a market as if they were privately owned). It is probably a good idea to take people, capital and knowledge from the old financial sector into the new economic planning agency. After all, the purpose of financial markets in capitalism is to allocate resources in the economy. The socialist planning agency has precisely the same purpose. It will perform that purpose in a different way, but still, knowledge about allocation in the old system is useful. We will need to equip the planning agency with state-of-the-art computers, because efficient economic planning requires processing power a lot more than it requires people sitting in offices. The new socialist economy-in-the-making will be technologically advanced. Also, since we're dismantling the financial markets, it's time to nationalize the last of the old corporations and close the stock exchange for good.

The time is now about two years after the revolution (or election, or whatever event put the socialists in power). The economy is still not fully socialist yet, but it's getting there. The corporations and the banks are gone. In their place, there is a large, state-owned, planned sector of the economy - the "socialist sector". This should include some institutions that provide credit to individual citizens like the old banks did; but unlike the old banks, such institutions would deal only with individual citizens, not with other firms.

At this point, we may pause for a while and take some time to make sure the socialist sector of the economy is efficient and democratic before we finish the transition. It must not be too bureaucratic, and it must not be organized just like the old corporations except with a new boss. Workers must be given a strong voice in the running of their own workplaces. It may be good to have them elect their own managers, at least at some levels in some industries. The emphasis of management must be shifted away from making profits at any cost, and towards ensuring a balance between productivity and job satisfaction. After all, every consumer is also a worker, and, ideally, socialism aims to make work as enjoyable as possible. And, of course, we need to get all the bugs out of the new economic planning software - there are always bound to be some bugs. ;)

In the realm of politics, new elections should be approaching. If the capitalists put up a serious fight after the revolution (including armed combat, perhaps), then capitalist parties may be under a temporary ban for the moment. It may be acceptable to go into the first post-revolutionary election with a single, massive socialist party. But it's a dangerous path. It would be better if there was more than one socialist party by this time. If there isn't, then one of our goals for the second term will be to help in the creation of such a socialist opposition by encouraging dissenting factions within our own party to split off (there are always some dissenting factions).

We are taking a pause before incorporating all remaining private businesses into the socialist sector, but the pause cannot be too long. Oskar Lange pointed out that capitalists who know their businesses will be nationalized sooner or later are likely to run those businesses very badly, without regard for the long term, and without making any new investments. The longer we wait, the more the remaining private sector will deteriorate (buildings will not be given regular maintenance, machinery will be allowed to rust, and so on).

So, maybe four or five years after the revolution, a constitutional law will be passed to abolish private ownership of the means of production entirely. All former private businesses will be integrated into the planned socialist economy. Their former owners will become workers. If they were owners of small businesses, and if their employees liked them, they may even stay in the same place and do roughly the same thing as before - except they would no longer have the power to hire and fire workers, or to order them around.

But there is still one last step to take after this, and it's a very important step. We now have a fully planned economy, but we're still using the same kind of money that we used under capitalism. This doesn't make much sense any more, and it needs to be changed in order to implement the socialist principle that payment must be proportional to the amount of work done. At first, we will set a fixed ratio between the existing currency and a standard hour of work. For example, we may decide that 1 hour = $30. This will be used across the entire economy, perhaps with small variations to account for differences in effort between different jobs. Then, some time later, we will rename $30 to "1 labor credit" or "1 labor hour" or something like that, to reflect its true value.

And now, with the new currency, the transition is complete. We have a planned economy. We have a roughly egalitarian distribution of incomes, thanks to the labor-hour system. And we have maintained and expanded democracy. Thus, we have socialism.

There are at least two different types of people who are called "transgender". The first are those who strongly recognize themselves in the opposite sex (or do not recognize themselves in either sex). The second are those who find that the social expectations assigned to their sex does not accurately reflect their self-identity.
For the first type of transgender person, the use of the word "gender" in the word "transgender" is more or less synonymous with sex. For the second type of transgender person, the word "gender" has a much weaker relationship with sex.
For the first type of transgender person, the second type deflates the legitimacy of their struggle, since they do not experience dysphoria with direct regard to their sex, and are therefore not transgender at all. For the second type of transgender person, the first type are gender essentialists who are gatekeeping the definition of "transgender".
We see similar divides on the use of the word "gender" outside how it is used by different kinds of transgender people. In plenty of scientific papers, and among most ordinary people, gender is synonymous with sex. For many intellectuals and social scientists, and among the extremely online, gender is distinct from sex (though there isn't a consensus on the distinction is). This divide is the source of many a misunderstanding on discussions and debates regarding transgender people, and is abused for political gain.

I claim that the materialist conception of gender is that it is a pattern of behaviour that emerged from a sex-based division of labour, and is therefore a prehistoric cultural tradition formed by sex. In the environments where humans survived under primitive conditions of production, labour was typically divided along the lines of sex. This is because, on average, males are physiologically suited for hunting and combat, and females likewise for gathering and homemaking. Such is the result of evolution and other forces, though this is topic that I don't want to delve too deep into here. In short, femininity and masculinity are informed by the social role that each sex performs best in based on their average physiology.
However, there were times when there was a scarcity of members of a sex in the tribe, or the physiology of a member of the tribe did not align neatly with their expected role, or external conditions disproportionately demanded one role over another, and so on. For example, suppose that a lot of the males didn't return from their last hunt. In this case, there was a necessity for at least some of the females to take on the role of hunter-warrior until the missing males returned or were found, and if they were discovered to be dead, such Amazons would likely have to grow accustomed to their new role. Still, while there was no reason why a male couldn't be feminine and a female couldn't be masculine, they were typically encouraged to stick to their assigned gender due to forces outside of one's control.
However, under modern conditions of production, the division of labour is continually becoming more independent of physiological difference. The average female might not be able to fight in a suit of armour, armed with sword and shield, like the average male can (sorry, Joan of Arc). But she certainly can aim and fire a gun just as well, if not better according to some anecdotes. The average physiology of a male might be more useful than that of a female on an oil rig, but it is likely that in the future a similar situation will arise on the oil rig as well - if it isn't completely automated by then, in which case gender will be absent from the job entirely.
From this materialist perspective, the word "transgender" takes on an entirely different meaning. Not only are most people not quite their assigned gender in some way or another, but the two types of transgender people discussed before are not really "transgender" to begin with. The first type is actually "transsexual" rather than merely "transgender", and experience "sex dysphoria". The second type are actually "postgenderists" who reject such sex-informed roles, creating and assuming ad-hoc roles instead, though failing to break from the tradition entirely. From this we can also derive the following insights:
1. Gender is a "spectrum" in way similar to how there are partially fixed states of matter with intermediary phases; one cannot simply create new genders at will.
2. Transsexual people are usually transgender, but the converse isn't true.
3. Gender may be a "performance", but transsexual people are not merely being "performative" in the specific way that they assume their gender.
4. There are different types of nonbinary based on the presence of sex dysphoria: non-sex-binary and non-gender-binary (for lack of better terms). Both are unique categories of their own, related to but distinct from transsexual or transgender/postgender.
5. In most cases, it is fair to assume that the only people who medically benefit from hormone replacement or a sex change are pre-treatment transsexuals.

Yet, an unfortunate result of the pseudo-political desert which we are forced to wander is how the misunderstanding of gender is twisted and abused. The postgenderists are caught in the trap of identity politics, being manipulated and coerced into supporting their liberal "allies" - supporting them rather than the other way around, since it turns out that such an alliance allows their own position to be colonized and corrupted by bad-faith actors, creating perverse incentives and censoring open discussion. Even worse, the struggles of "transsexual" people are often mangled and obscured entirely, setting them at odds with people who they would have never antagonized in the first place.
Whether they are aware of it or not, liberals enforce their ideology by cherry-picking the positions that are most convenient to their mode of politics, promoting misconceptions in order to artificially construct a marginalized identity group to rally around, tokenize and exploit. Their strategy is to impose a false unity by presupposing a dominant identity group and then asserting its negation. They use hyper-moralization to bully others into submission, and when they have exhausted the value extracted from the existing identity groups, they attempt to expand those horizons by any means necessary. What do "people of colour" actually share in common other than being "non-white", and what does "white" even mean? Are Slavs people of colour? Are Jews white? What do gay and lesbian people actually share in common with those who are intersex or identify as "two-spirit"?
Conservatives (really, fundamentalists) are not merely a reaction but a reflection of this absurd state of affairs, who mirror the same strategy but for the dominant identity groups instead, thus reinforcing the ruling ideology and the dominance of identity politics. They commit the same crime of cynically smelting the transgender identity into an obscene monolith, only to bludgeon their counterparts with it rather than hiding behind it as a shield.

All of this leads to a complete breakdown in even our ability to understand reality at even the most common sense level. When we get caught up in debates over who is allowed to go into which washroom or compete in which sports league, we seem to ignore the uniqueness of what it means to be trans. We seem to ignore what sex or gender means in everyday life, to ordinary people. In the analysis that follows, I will focus on transsexual people to make this point.
From a strictly biological perspective, transmen can never be males and transwomen can never be females. I think it's fair to take on this perspective as truth, because what's also plainly evident here are the very categories being used - females can be transmen and males can be transwomen. All we have to do is ask why these words exist and what they mean. They have the power to point to something that is distinct from both man/woman or male/female, to something which exposes the core of what it really means to be trans.
Hasan Piker gave the following argument in favour of the trans cause: imagine what sort of reaction ordinary people would have if they saw Buck Angel entering the women's restroom. Even if each restroom had an officially licensed penis inspector posted nearby, and they loudly declared that Buck Angel is to go to the women's restroom after confirming that he possesses lady parts, it would be outrageous (actually, it would be even more ridiculous if there really were a "penis inspector" present). To ordinary people, Buck Angel is effectively a man, and even if they knew that he had female genitals, the only reasonable reaction would be to treat him like a man regardless, no matter how bizarre the situation might be, because there is no way to treat him like a woman without violating the most basic standards of polite society.
Yet, there is more than mere appearances at play here, because the meaning of Buck Angel "passing" as a man is that he has worked hard to ensure that his physique conforms with that of the surrounding men, despite his female genitalia. In other words, his appearance conforms with the tradition of gender, a tradition with its origin in sexual difference. The cultural traditions that form the ground of our everyday social life affirm the identity of Buck Angel as a transman, though not quite as a man per se.
What of the transmen and transwomen who do not "pass"? It's important to remember that there are also certainly men who look somewhat feminine and women who look somewhat masculine. What it means to "pass" is somewhat murky, but the point is that transmen and transwomen have to make a serious effort to "pass" in order to be accepted. But this isn't a problem because they often do, with many going so far as to surgically alter their genitals! For example, male cannot simply declare themselves to be a woman if they don't make any effort at all to "pass", because there is no way to distinguish between such a person and a cis man who is simply declaring to be a woman in order to violate the standards of polite society. Furthermore, there is no reason why we cannot accommodate for those who for whatever reason struggle to "pass", or for those who do not intend to "pass" as either a man or a woman. A relatively simple solution would be to have a separate toilet that anyone could use, and some places have even done away with sex-assigned washrooms entirely in favour of individual toilets (which, as a very introverted and socially anxious cis man, I can appreciate as well).
Continuing on from the above, should transwomen be allowed into women-only groups, as the TERFs are so violently opposed to? Certainly, transwomen share some of the same struggles as women, and even just looking feminine as a man comes with a whole host of problems; at the same time, they certainly do not share the same struggles, incapable as they are of having periods or being pregnant. What is the solution? Create transwomen-only groups that collaborate with women-only groups, create transfeminist organizations that collaborate with feminist organizations. We should go even further and expect both of these organizations to collaborate with "masculinist" and "transmasculinist" organizations too!
Should transwomen be allowed to participate in women's boxing? No, for obvious reasons relating to sexual difference. But by that logic, transwomen shouldn't be allowed to participate men's boxing either, because to be a transwoman means that one has put great effort into modelling their physique to be different from that of men, and this counts for something even if they cannot fully escape the inherent physiological traits of sex. Therefore, transwomen and transmen should each have their own boxing league.
(For those interested, it's not like co-ed boxing is pure fantasy, but matching by weight class will never allow for a fair fight. There are several sanctioned instances of female fighters defeating their male counterparts, though none of them reached a high level of notoriety and there were usually problems with how the fighters were matched. I don't think a viable co-ed boxing league is impossible, but it would take serious thought and lots of trial-and-error to figure out a safe arrangement - not to mention the cultural backlash that will almost certainly arise from seeing a man punch a woman, no matter how built she is. Regardless, I've still met women who could beat my ass into paste if they really wanted to.)

What underlies all of these arguments is the politics of difference, founded on the assumption that accepting and working with difference is central to a just and equitable arrangement. The enemy of the politics of difference is the politics of false unity, in whatever form it takes - whether it be obscuring difference in order to manipulate and control, or by erasing difference through brutal and violent means. We cannot simply presume that men and women can live in harmony. To the contrary, we must recognize that men and women are literally by nature trapped in a deadlock. But, it is also human nature to adapt and overcome nature, and only by understanding this can we create an egalitarian system that dissolves that deadlock into polite society.
Therefore, we will not be doing trans people justice by presuming a false unity, whether between trans and cis, or between different definitions of trans, or between trans and lesbian and gay and so on. The only way to establish equality will be to accept and work with difference. The only way to liberate trans people will be to recognize the truly mundane uniqueness of the trans condition.

You're supposed to laugh with me about it and say "it'll probably be fine" or something

Most therapists are awful at their job. In this training I was in yesterday, the trainer told the group that asking questions in therapy *does not help the client*. You're just supposed to manipulate, sorry, motivate them into completing their goals by reflecting stuff they say back to them (but only the stuff you like). Mental health trainings are so funny. Everyone just talks about the most effective ways to manipulate people but if you use the word manipulation everyone will scold you.

Most therapists come from wealthy backgrounds, don't have addiction or trauma experiences, and had the resources growing up to learn coping mechanisms to help them live with their extreme neuroticism. I worked with a lady once, we were doing adolescent substance abuse group treatment, and she would get mad and basically ground the clients for misbehaving. Like she was their mother. She believed her role was to "get them in line". She was afraid of drugs after doing pot once.

Another dude i worked with told me this client was "externalizing" and upset because of his divorce. But the client was actually schizophrenic and actively psychotic, but the clinician believed he was "faking" his delusions "to mess with" him. One clinician stopped seeing a client because the client didn't bathe, even though the client was seeing them for depression for which one of the symptoms was not being able to take care of themselves.

Therapists are deeply self righteous individuals and most of them are crap. People usually see 3-4 therapists before they find one they connect with well and feel cared for by. Therapy can be very helpful to you if you are lucky or if you have the time to shop around for a good one, or if you can get a referral from someone you trust. But there are a lot of absolute shitters out there. It's a minefield.

Why do certain types of leftists (mainly women and low t males) constantly lie and hide the truth?

I honestly assume it's part of the anima spirit that guides much of leftism.

But, and this is an important caveat, it is the anima spirit that is the root of the problem. When women (and low t males) are given prominent positions among the right, they carry out the exact same behavior.

Thus, I assume the solution is simple. Ignore women and low t males. Don't take their opinions and professed moral superiority seriously. Keep them at arm's distance, etc

Why is the left oblivious to the most obvious things, such as:

Why doesn't the left have actual solutions to create better societies. Instead, it honestly appears like the left is simply maladjusted people who present misguided 'solutions.'

Why does the left promote things like open borders, support immigrants flooding into the country without limit, or decry anyone who opposes such a thing as 'racist?'

If leftist solutions work, places like Portland, Seattle, San Francisco, wouldn't be total shitholes.

Why does the left ignore that fact that beyond a superficial reference to Marxism and Communism, they have very little in common with successful Marxists that have power and develop strong societies and cultures in places such as China, which are effectively national socialists?

Is there an answer to anything of these questions beyond seething butthurt?
