If you're a full-time delivery driver for a company or organisation working under a contract then you're a prole. But if you're some idiot with an app and a bicycle delivering shitty takeaway food, then you're on the same level of "working" as an onlyfans model or drug mule.

>if you don't have a piece of paper you're not a prole
kek
absolute brainlets

delivery boy DE FACTO works for a capitalist who owns the platform app (mean of production)

even if he works for one day - that day he is DE FACTO a prole, he doesn't need any asswiping paper

onlyfans hoe is in a different situation - she doesn't get paid by the platform, she pays the platform

By that logic are Tim Pool and Andrew Tate proles now they're getting paid to post tweets?

Once upon a time people made strategic considerations about organizing the proletariat, and they took into account that some professions have more class-struggle leverage than others.

This strategic mindset has been lost and what took it's place is something else.

they are not proles, because they get paid for advertising

they pay the platform out of their ad revenue

anyway, you can't determine class position based on a piece of paper - objective reality takes precedence over paper

you need to take also income into account - can this income be converted into sufficient capital?
>>

 No.242

>>239
I don't understand what your retarded ass is whining about..

class position is not for you to choose - it's an objective category

delivery boy is prole, deal with it, nobody cares about your gay hard on for industrial proletariat

Those people are paid less, are worked more, and have even less protections because dipshits don't consider them real jobs

>they pay the platform out of their ad revenue
tho you can view it as a mutually beneficial arrangement - they share in the ad revenue

that's why relationship of whoretube and whoretubers is not a relationship of employer and employee, it's more like a relationship between a lessor and a lessee

You are treating this like it's some kind of measurement of what a person is worth. It feels very tribal, as if it was about deciding who is in-group and who is out-group.

Maybe I'm too naive to expect you to stop throwing metaphorical feces at me, and turn on that part of your brain that does higher brain function.

So can you perhaps try to consider the necessity to gauge how much leverage workers in various professions have, in order to organize the working class successfully. You have to understand how much actual power workers have in order to use it.

Again instead of treating this like some strange club where you have to engage in a battle of words to argue for group belonging. Focus on thinking about the practical implications of organizing labor, where you have to figure out exactly how hard a certain group of workers can push against capital.

Steel workers are some where in there too in most place and mill workers like steel mills fall in that as well.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sOwbAdC6apg

This is the kind of shit steel mill workers deal with.
It's called a cobble and they're incredibly dangerous. I work in a mill and my union did a whole report about this shit.
In the last 10 years like 35 people have died in various steel mills. Mainly due to company negligence. It's even more when you add the papers mills and other steel related industries into the mix.

No, I'm treating it like an objective category that exists outside of your retarded mind.

>It feels very tribal, as if it was about deciding who is in-group and who is out-group.

you've literally decided that delivery boy is not a prole because muh organizing or something kek

>So can you perhaps try to consider the necessity to gauge how much leverage workers in various professions have

How is this relevant to the objective class affiliation retardoid? What's next, I should consider their phenotype before I decide if they are a prole or not lmao?

>You have to understand how much actual power workers have in order to use it.

HOW IS THIS RELEVANT TO THEIR CLASS AFFILIATION?

post245 never said anything about whether or not delivery boys are proles or not. That bit is entirely in your head.

You're too dimwitted to realize that changing the debate from the dialog of exclusion to the dialog of practical strategy prevents this kind of prole gate-keeping in the first place.

The purpose of Marxist theory is to create theory for organizing the proletariat to win the class struggle and build a new socialist society.

By the way class boundaries are gradual. The upper income levels of proles blurr into the managerial cast, the technical intelligentsia and petit-bourg, while the lower income levels blurr into corporate-gig-work-precariat, lumpen-prole-dayworkers and the mafia adjacent informal economy.

There is no point in drawing hard lines, unless you want to provoke loads of bickering, because everybody has different ideas where the line should be drawn. It is best to steer discussions away from that kind of thing. For example you could shift the attention to "irrelevant shit about organizing"

You have a very strange way of understanding things; Owning a house is not capitalistic. It becvomes capital when you are able to make profit off it. Say through renting.

Personal property is a well known communist understanding of property.

You meant intellectuals. They do not belong to the so-called intelligentsia since they're actively reactionary insane techno-faschists due to the obsession with fitting into money relationships in the best way possible. The "middle class" consists precisely of them, the techbros, human resource department managers, state management etc.

I've done IT for some mining companies, never been inside an actual mine but I'm not eager to. This happened the other day in Chile after a small earthquake, mine workers from a state company had to flee because of collapse hazard and found that the shelter was locked, so they had to break in with a crowbar. Freaky as hell. Needless to say mine workers from state companies here generally get low compensations. There are some organized unions and strikes occur every so often which is cool.

I don't have extensive work experience in different industries since I've had long stretches as a hikki but most dangerous job I had was as a floor cleaner in an abattoir, almost got crushed by an elevated platform, when I was cleaning underneath it, the person who operates who inspects the carcasses as they go along the chain. They can make it ascend and descend but they didn't know I was underneath until some people screamed at me to get out, that was on my first day on the job without training so I was walking around oblivious. That was also my most dirtiest job, got rained with blood daily and I'd come home smelling of boiled fat since I'd have to wash the machines with boiling water when all the people went on break.

My grandparents owned a drug store. They had employees.
They made little money because they had to buy their product from middlemen who had a de facto monopoly on this activity.
They lived in an uninsulated home without toilets.
They finished on the street when the marts began to open.

Somehow, I find difficult to name them capitalists or bourgeois on anything else than a theoretical level.
