If you are not posting on 4chan you are failing as a leftist in the most fundemental way possible. Right now there is a huge opportunity to use the market crash and consequential recession that is coming to turn a lot of dissolusioned right wingers over to our side. To the side of truth, reason and sanity. I post on /b/ at the very least when a thread comes up revolving around trump and go on pol daily. We have to be where they are. We cannot just keep sequestering ourselves off in our hug boxes all the time. You have to be posting on 4chan as well.

4chan is less relevant now than it was 15 years ago, and what exactly do you propose that we're posting towards?
Our efforts would be better spent gathering funds, munitions, etc. for a general strike and for defense against the state. We should be organizing unions of workers, tenants, etc. in actual real life, and organizing militias as well. How will arguing with retards on the internet accomplish any of that? It seems like a massive timesink, and the sort of thing which the state can afford to pour resources into but we can't.

This isn't really true. 4chan is still very relevant and millions of people around the world use it daily. It doesn't take a lot to post there. It's easy to do and convincing people to our opinions is a good thing and likely right now because trump is fucking everything up. The left has this weird defeatist obsession with doing anything realistic. The idea thata we are about to fight some LARP on the ground gorilla war in this country is just delusional. Even a general strike is not possible right now. We still haven't convinced the majority of the working class that we are right. And even if it were you can still do both. There's no reason why you cannot do both especially when you are sitting here spending 99% of your time on your hug box anyways.

The point is to defend our position not let them craft the narrative for us. But keep stocking up for your LARP fantasy, comrade.

I haven't wasted a moment of my time on that censorious, regressive, user-datamining shithole since 2014 and I have no intention of starting again now. It is an utterly cancerous tumor on the broader image board community and needs to die as fast as possible.

>It doesn't take a lot to post there.
It does now that they've starting fucking around with Cloudflare bullshit, which has in turn been implementing a malicious browser "check" on anything that isn't a Google-approved browser since February.

Ok well then you two can just stay here on your hug box and do nothing at all then. That's fine.

I get my sparring with right wingers on a lot of other image boards, anon. Likewise, I have plenty of productive debates with Boomers in real life. I feel no urge to legitimize 4chan's existence with my intellectual expression.

>This isn't really true. 4chan is still very relevant and millions of people around the world use it daily.
I said it's less relevant than it was 15 years ago, not "nobody uses it at all."

>The left has this weird defeatist obsession with doing anything realistic. The idea thata we are about to fight some LARP on the ground gorilla war in this country is just delusional.

>accuses me of defeatism
>then engages in defeatism
I'm not a defeatist about changing 4channer minds in 2025, I just don't give a shit about it. I give a shit about the people being abducted off the streets by masked goons for criticizing Zionism, that's the thing I'm worried about… that and another wave of mass evictions. I'm aware that the odds are stacked against us when it comes to doing something about these things, but I don't care that it's hard because they are actual problems which won't disappear if I ignore them unlike the opinions of dumbasses on 4Chan.

>Even a general strike is not possible right now.

Yeah because we don't have money saved up for it.

>We still haven't convinced the majority of the working class that we are right.

Neither has anyone else lol
Wielding power does not actually require an absolute majority of people to agree with your exact perspective. If we set about organizing even like 20% of the US to do a general strike for like 2 weeks, we could cripple the US economy. We could easily manage 50% provided that we coordinate on unionizing and give that priority over convincing randos on the internet that Stalin was right.

>The point is to defend our position not let them craft the narrative for us. But keep stocking up for your LARP fantasy, comrade.

They're going to craft whatever narrative they want… and, in a lot of cases, it will be crafted for them, with a bunch of money from very rich guys devoted to propaganda. Spending a whole bunch of capital on stuff like that is beneficial to people who want to maintain the status quo, but for us to spend our time on that puts us at a disadvantage compared to entities which have a whole bunch of capital to throw away. We could spend all of our time on that without even depleting a fraction of the capital which the state devotes to propaganda & psyops, and it will still have a free hand to terrorize and subjugate the public and the world while we're busy arguing with shills and idiots.

>in our hug boxes
Usually I associate the word "hugbox" with a place where power tripping jannies ban anyone who deviates from the House Position on something. Like 4chan or leftypol.org for instance.

>dissolusioned right wingers
The only people disillusioned are boomers who just had part of their retirement deleted. Trump barging in and dropping a trvth nuke on global trade is one of the best things he's done as president. I hope he crashes the global economy with no survivors

Ehhhh OP's not wrong that we can work with that.
Like yeah, fuck the stocks, but it's foolish not to reach out to people as the economy gets wrecked. But there are better ways to reach people and more important things to do than arguing on 4chan.

Do nothing left. The reason the left is dead is because we have killed ourselves. Old leftypol wouldn't have been against this. If anything to spread knowledge that we exist. none the less 4chan is going to cont to exist no matter what. I also have irl discourse with right wingers. That doesn't mean you can't dual lurk here and 4han, lol.

The CIA will never let actual leftist rhetoric take hold on any mainstream platform. That's just not a thing. For every one of your posts they have 10 bots posting gotchas.

Go to a march. Get organized with socialists. Find the next step you guys are going to work on.

while i agree with your sentiment i think this is missing the point. we're talking about leftychan, not a real movement. there is no point in going out into the real world and trying to connect with so-called ordinary people in order to bring them into the fold, because the artificial trivialities of this place has nothing to do with the concerns of those in meatspace. so in this sense OP is correct, 4chan is as good a place as any to "recruit" new members "over to our side"
anyone who makes leftychan (or .ogre for that matter) a part of their identity is already "failing as a leftist in the most fundamental way possible" and the internet itself has long since become a force that encourages us to be "sequestering ourselves off in our hug boxes all the time"
the revolutionary leap that is demanded of us is to transform the internet into the opposite, as something which can complement a real movement rather than convert it into…whatever this is

It's none of my fucking responsibility, tankie. And not like I hasn't been told that before but with something else in place of "posting on 4chan," I don't give a shit.
