but even if it's not, is this something that's possible? how do you develop the hermeneutics to read this fast?

If you can read for six hours it's just 50 pages per hour. That sounds doable.

He didn't read 300 pages of THEORY a day, he read 300 pages of literature. He was a very well-rounded person and was known for being at least aware of many obscure industrial and scientific subjects, and would engage in discussions with engineers and others who knew more through experience. AN interesting example is when during a counter-attack a Soviet tank group captured a German airfield and needed to keep moving without letting the Germans pssibly recover the planes and escape, and still leave the planes reparable for later use. Stalin called a few factory engineers in regards to aviation and they recommended that the tanks, rather than wasting ammunition, just drive their tracks over the tails of the aircraft, grounding them.

How does one read 300 pages of anything per day?
If I tried it'd take me most of the day.
How do I get reading speed and comprehension gains brehs?

Read more and you'll get faster. It isn't something you can skip.

This. I had a teacher once tell us that the only way to get better at reading was to just keep on reading. Sure the beginning, you'll probably be trash, much like anything, however after you get the hang of it, you'll be able to read as much as 300 pages per day, maybe even more. However, much like everything else, you have to continue reading even after you've reached your goal, or else you fall back into not being able to read as much. This happened to me, when I was a kid, I'd be able to read so much in a day, because I would just read and read. However, as I got older, I would read less and thus not read as much as I could when I was younger. I've been reading more though, and slowly am able to get to the same skill as I did when I was younger.

Just to add, it's also a bit of natural talent. When I was a little kid (8 or so) I read the entire, unabridged version of Moby Dick, with all the accompanying accents and slang; I still have the bloody thing. I read the whole book in a few hours in a single day, all 650+ pages.

Given that he wrote notes on the side of the page often, I would reckon otherwise.

I think this is one of those rare brain conditions that is actually a positive benefit. My ex was diagnosed with it, but I can't remember the name of it.
